Small Business Support in the Czech Republic

The objective of the master´s thesis „Small business support in the Czech republic“ is to carry out analysis of current system of Small business based on a created scope of knowledge necessary for orientation in the respective topic, find deficiencies and suggest innovations. The first part is focused on history, on small and medium enterprise terms definition and the evolution of small business in the Czech Republic in the years 2000 - 2007. The second part is attended to analysis of particular support programs and pointed out on its benefits and disadvantages. In the following part was done the interview, which was intended to find out small and medium-sized entrepreneurs opinion on present situation in entrepreneurial subjects support system. I compared the results with interview investigation carried out in 2006. Final part contains suggestions and recommendations, which could lead to improvement in small entrepreneurs supporting in the Czech Republic.
CzechTrade and support for export of Czech Companies to Germany

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore the trade relationship between Czech firms and the support they are receiving from the state, particularly focusing on the trade with Germany as it is the most lucrative destination for the Czech export. Firstly, the thesis will analyse the foreign trade of the Czech Republic in relation to Germany from the historical perspective as well as the wide range of products which are being exported, and then explain why the market there is so crucial for the Czech economy. Secondly, the focus will be held on the economic diplomacy and their practitioners with regards to international relations. Thirdly, the last part explores the governmental agenda set up for the trade support, aka CzechTrade, which directly encourages Czech firms and entrepreneurs to engage with the foreign trade as well as to explore their options on developing their businesses abroad; focusing mainly on the representation of CzechTrade on the German market. To conclude this study, a questionnaire of the Czech firms and their personal experiences with the German market and CzechTrade will be presented at the end to express their input on this matter.
The position of small and medium enterprises in the Czech Republic

Small and medium-sized enterprises, including micro-enterprises are the foundation of the economy in all developed economies. Their importance lies mainly in the creation of employment opportunities, introduction of innovation, the development of the business environment, employment and hence increasing the competitiveness of the Czech Republic. Small and medium-sized enterprises can operatively react to the situation on the market and thereby meet the requirements of the customers. In the Czech Republic is made up of more than 1 million economic entities. The share of small and medium-sized enterprises in the total number of active business entities was in the year 2014 99, 84 %, the proportion of employees of small and medium-sized enterprises in the total number of employees of the business sector amounted 59, 39 %. Share of the value added in the GDP of the Czech Republic was 53, 11 % (MIT, 2014). To improve the prosperity of small and medium-sized enterprises and the removal of the negative, that result from the size of enterprises and the specifics of the business operates in the Czech Republic the Ministry of industry and trade and the Agency for the promotion of business and investment CzechInvest.
Functionning and activities of the agency CzechTrade in France

Cílem této bakalářské práce je pojednat o agentuře CzechTrade a o činnosti jejího zastoupení ve Francii. Autorka považuje za nezbytné zasadit agenturu do kontextu zahraničního obchodu, proto je první část práce věnována zahraničnímu obchodu, zahraničně-obchodní politice ČR a státní podpoře exportu. Na druhou kapitolu zaměřenou na rámcové představení agentury navazuje kapitola třetí, která se věnuje jejímu konkrétnímu francouzskému zastoupení a specifikům činnosti pařížské kanceláře. Poslední část se zabývá česko-francouzskými obchodními vztahy a jejich vývojem v posledních letech. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována jejich ekonomickému prostředí se zaměřením na průmysl, který tvoří základ vzájemného obchodu. Na závěr je zhodnocen význam agentury v obchodních vztazích mezi Českou republikou a Francií.

Entry of Czech companies to foreign markets in cooperation with the agency CzechTrade

The topic of the master thesis Entry of Czech companies to foreign markets in cooperation with the agency CzechTrade is the company expansion to foreign markets and possible benefits from the cooperation with the state export-promoting agency CzechTrade. The main objective is the evaluation of conditions on the Mexican market for the entry of Czech companies. The secondary objective is to evaluate the possibilities of cooperation between the Czech firms which are seeking overseas expansion, and CzechTrade. This thesis will focus on the expansion to one specific market (Mexico) and on the activity of one particular Czech company (Kovobel), for the purpose of narrowing the topic and also to better illustrate it on one particular case. The thesis will produce findings and recommendations that would ultimately allow Czech companies to access the overall process before entering the Mexican market.
Evaluation of export promotional activities of selected Czech institutions on foreign markets

The thesis focuses on Czech export, its importance for Czech economy and mainly on the way it is endorsed by Czech export promotional institutions. The main aim is on institutions such as CzechTrade, CzechInvest, Czech Export Bank, Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. A big part of the thesis focuses on The Export Strategy of the Czech Republic 2012 -- 2020 and evaluates the implementation of its objectives. Apart from that it sums up reasons of companies for entrance to foreign markets, export possibilities of the Czech Republic given its membership in EU and OECD Consensus regulations.
Assistance of Export promotion agency CzechTrade while entering Polish market

The purpose of this thesis is to describe the process of expanding of the Czech company to Polish market with assistance of Export promotion agency CzechTrade. Thesis is analysing the cooperation among the foreign office of the agency, headquarters and client. In the first chapter, the Polish market is described in terms of economical, legal and political features. The second chapter covers the history and introduction of the agency. In the end of the chapter two there are the most important services of the agency described. Third chapter is dealing with the teoretical backround of the cooperation between agency and client. The final chapter analyses the process of entering Polish market by two real companies.
Institutional Promotion of Czech Export

By describing patterns of current Czech export it shows the reasons why should any country develop their institutions of export promotion.
Entry of small and medium-sized enterprises of Czech Republic to European markets and selected instruments of their state and private support

This bachelor thesis deals with development and history of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Czech Republic and their entry to European markets. The aim of this thesis is to analyse selected instruments of support of state and private institutions. The biggest attention is paid to CzechInvest (with operation programe OPPIK 2014 - 2020) and CzechTrade agencies and also to EGAP and ČEB institutions. This thesis also deals in detail with business incubator "South Moravian Innovation Centre" and opportunities which this centre provides to small and medium-sized enterprises. In the end of the thesis is evaluated one concrete company, its activities in South Moravian Innovation Centre and its reasons for expansion to foreign markets.
